Roanne Robinson-Shaddox

Chair

Roanne Robinson-Shaddox is a telecommunications expert.  As the former chief of staff and special assistant to the Assistant Secretary for the National Commerce Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), U.S. Department of Commerce. Robinson-Shaddox continues to increase tribal participation in efforts to address the digital divide across Indian Country.  Robinson-Shaddox is currently the Special Assistant to the Deputy Director, Enterprise Technology Branch at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Brian Brashier

Vice-Chair and SAC Liaison

Brian Brashier leads the Broadcast Productions Department for KCNP - Chickasaw Community Radio of Southern Oklahoma.  Brashier brings a wealth of knowledge of radio broadcasting, coordinating radio tower builds, and serves as a certified storm spotter and member of the Warning Coordination Team for the National Weather Service office in Norman, OK.

Gerad Godfrey

Gerad Godfrey is an expert in cultivating business development and Alaska’s social, cultural, economic, and communications strategic planning.  Formerly the Senior Advisor to Alaska’s Governor on Rural Business and Intergovernmental Affairs, Godfrey also served on the Afognak Native Corporation’s Boards of Directors.  Godfrey is currently president of two subsidiaries -- Alutiiq Professional Consulting and Afognak Native Corporation.  Alaska is home to 13 Native stations.

Clarice Chiago-Jones

Secretary

Clarice Chiago-Jones is a telecommunications and communications expert with over 20 years of experience at Gila River Telecommunications, Inc. Currently, Clarice is the Executive Director of the Gila River Broadcasting Corporation, an affiliate company of GRTI. GRBC delivers locally produced content to Gila River communities and works with partners to broadcast live events.  Chiago-Jones brought digital literacy classes to the community, focusing on Elders.

Samantha Honani

Hopi

Member

Sam, a proud member of the SahTowa/Pipwungwa (Tobacco Clan) from the Village of Tewa of the Hopi Tribe. Dedicated to fostering wellness in the Hopi/Tewa community, Sam has made significant contributions through roles at the Hopi Health Care Center, First Mesa Elementary School, and The Hopi Foundation. Currently serving as the General Manager of KUYI Hopi Public Radio, she continues to amplify voices and promote connectivity. With her tenure in community grassroots efforts, Sam remains a steadfast advocate for positive change.
