Brian Wadsworth Joins Native Public Media as New Finance Director

Native Public Media announces the appointment of Brian Wadsworth as its Finance Director, effective September 11, 2023. As Finance Director, Brian Wadsworth will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of Native Public Media. NPM welcomes Brian's leadership in managing the organization's financial operations and the continued success of the Station Support Program with an emphasis on the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's Community Service Grant requirements and compliance.


Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role at Native Public Media. He boasts an impressive educational background, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2012, followed by a Master of Business Administration in American Indian Entrepreneurship from Gonzaga University in 2016, and culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2020.


Before joining NPM, Brian served as the Tribal Executive Officer at the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, where he managed and directed programs to ensure the delivery of quality services. As the Executive Branch Auditor IV at the Governor's Finance Office-Division of Internal Audits, Brian held responsibilities as the Division Administrator. He served as a mentor to the audit team. His professional experience extends to the role of Controller at Three Nations Management Corporation, where he managed accounting and fiscal operations while overseeing annual operating budgets.


Beyond his professional accomplishments, Brian possesses a robust background in community and tribal leadership. He has proudly served as a Tribal council member for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe. He has held positions on various boards, including Numu Inc., Nevada Indian Commission, American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association, and the City of Reno-Financial Advisory Board.
