Featured Speakers At Upcoming Native Broadcast Summit

FLAGSTAFF, AZ – Playing tribute to 40 years of broadcast and the contributions of First Amendment protectors by featured notable speakers will be the theme of the 2018 Native Broadcast Summit. The Summit, co-hosted by Native Public Media and Koahnic Broadcast Corporation, will take place at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino in Chandler, Arizona on May 22-24, 2018.

The honorable Stephen Roe Lewis, Governor of the Gila River Indian Community will open the Cultural Night that will also feature Miss Gila River Indian Community, Autumn Cooper.

Joining the featured speaker lineup will be Christine Trudeau of KYUK 90.3 FM located in Bethel, Alaska. Trudeau, a member of the Prairie Band Potowatami Nation, is a reporter whose work has appeared in Yes Magazine, Native Peoples Magazine, and on National Public Radio and National Native News.

The Native Broadcast Summit is an annual opportunity for broadcast personnel to network, learn from one another, increase their operational capacity, and grow the Native broadcast network. NPM Board members Davis and Raymond Foxworth will MC the event.
