Loris Taylor, President and CEO of Native Public Media will lead a staff conversation about Native Public Media and the effects of the pandemic on Native tribes and stations with National Public Radio on June 11, 2020.

Native Public Media, based in Flagstaff, AZ, supports and serves Native stations. Loris’s leadership has helped almost 60 public radio and commercial stations build capacity and create content, train staff, ensure compliance, and develop technical knowledge. Her efforts have ranged from testifying in Congressional hearings about the digital divide in Native lands to advocating for net neutrality and being a key voice in establishing the FCC Office of Native Affairs and Policy. For several years, Loris, who is from the Village of Oraibi in Northeastern Arizona on the Hopi Reservation, was a member of the Distribution/Interconnection Committee of the NPR Board.
