Native Public Media proudly congratulates Barbara Poley, Tövöwaynöm, on her induction into the 2026 Northern Arizona University College of Education Hall of Fame!
A respected Hopi/Laguna Pueblo leader and a proud NAU alumna, Barbara has dedicated nearly five decades to advancing Indigenous education, community leadership, philanthropy, and self-determination. Her transformative leadership at The Hopi Foundation helped strengthen community-driven initiatives, including KUYI Hopi Radio, while creating opportunities for future generations.
As a former member of the Native Public Media Board of Directors, Barbara has also contributed her wisdom, experience, and commitment to strengthening Native communities and Indigenous voices in the field of broadcasting.
This well-deserved honor recognizes a lifetime of service, leadership, and dedication to culturally grounded education and community empowerment. We are grateful for Barbara’s contributions and celebrate this important milestone in her remarkable journey.
